Alhamdulillah. Our General Assembly for MSU-IIT MUSLIM STUDENTS ASSOCIATION(MIMSA) was successful. We were so overwhelmed because we never expected that our effort and sincerity had already bore something. Also because of the said assembly, many of our muslim brothers and sisters in our institution were encourage to participate our other planned activities.
Before, when I was not still part of it, MIMSA encountered difficulties and trials to reach this stage because its members were not really united. It was the reason why the organization lost its direction. Many were asking their selves why should they spent their time for it. Yes. I also wondered it before. But when I became an officer, and became more active, I realized that its not just about enjoying or just wasting of time. It helped me know myself better. It made me realized what is good and what is bad for me. It made me change myself. I was able to stop my past habits and instead became more faithful to God.
With MIMA I also found my true friends . Friends that will never ever harm me, put me in danger. In fact they taught me some good values that can make me a better person.
For me, it is already a big reason why should I persue serving this organization. Insha'Allah, MIMSA will progress and I hope it will influence other students to be better persons.
